This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Entry Requirements

  • Be the minimum age of 18 years old

  • Be proficient in the English language, with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills

  • Have access to internet, webcam, email and MS Word, Adobe software and computer no older than 5 years

  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Evaluation

Training and Assessment Strategy

Classroom Sessions –Classroom sessions are scheduled over a 18-month duration. (excluding scheduled holiday breaks). Learning activities will reinforce theoretical knowledge, and workplace skills will be practiced and placed into context. Note: Refer to Training Schedule.

Online lessons – Online sessions are scheduled over a 18-month duration. (excluding scheduled holiday breaks). Learning activities will reinforce theoretical knowledge, and workplace skills will be practiced and placed into context. Note: Refer to Training Schedule.

Moderated Online Discussion Forums – Your Trainer will provide and moderate weekly discussion forums for each topic providing an opportunity to discuss key learning topics with the online learning group. Note: Refer to Training Schedule

eLearning Modules – Each unit of competency includes eLearning modules related to the topic. These must be completed in between attending classroom sessions as directed by the trainer/assessor.  These modules are designed to reinforce theoretical concepts and will prepare learners with knowledge prior to attending the classroom sessions.

Coaching Sessions – Additional and optional 1:1 coaching sessions can be scheduled, as required with up to maximum of 4 x 1-hour sessions per learner over the duration of the course.

Role Plays in Assessment

In this course, you will engage in both summative and formative assessments, involving tasks such as writing reports, creating portfolios, and participating in role-playing scenarios. <br>
Additionally, you will undertake various projects requiring independent research and respond to written and oral questions aimed at applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

We strongly encourage you to embrace the role play experience as an opportunity to practice and learn new skills We also recommend that you:

  • Complete the eLearning modules prior to commencing your assessment
  • Pair with a study buddy for mutual assistance with assessments and idea sharing.
  • Access online classrooms where trainers cover course content.
  • Engage in activities aligned with assessments to enhance understanding and skills.


Role-Playing:

Role-playing is integrated into certain course modules and serves as a practical component of assessments, including those during work placements.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Credit Transfer

RPL

Students who believe they are already competent in parts of the course may apply for RPL. An application for RPL may only be made after enrolment and must be made using the RPL Application Form that will be provided. RPL is a form of assessment and requires the same application of the principles of assessment and the rules of evidence which are applied in any form of competency-based assessment.

 

Credit Transfer

Students who have completed units of this course at other registered training organisations will be given a credit transfer on presentation of a verified transcript, award or Statement of Attainment.
